Well, that one of the purposes of their damn committee, but it sure leaves a stink, doesn't it? Now Joe Miller is forced to hire legal counsel of his own.

She's still going to lose, so now she can be a sore loser.

This is positively outrageous. If they are trying to dry up contributions to the NRSC and the GOP (I read what one poster said, trying to draw a distinction, but that is going to be lost on most donors), this is a terrific way to do it. Talk about shooting themselves in both feet.

Sarah Palin should get the facts and see whether ACE’s take is more accurate than Allahpundit’s. If it turns out that they really are trying to tip it to Murkowski, SP needs to come out and blast them.

I don’t think it will work. The GOP lieutenant Governor, who is a stalwart conservative and military man, is in charge of counting the absentee ballots, so I have no idea why the NRSC felt the need to send a lawyer. The Lt. Governor will count the ballots and the result will be what it is. It is at best a waste of money to send the lawyer and at worst it is tampering in a contested primary, using people’s money in a way they never would have approved.

In either case, it is going to rile up the base even more.
