Better than McCollum, I guess...
Since I am not from Florida, I do not know much about this guy.
He’s way better.
He is the Republican nominee. We’ll come together now and defeat the RATS. That’s the ultimate goal and NOTHING will distract or confuse us this time.
In Tallahassee tonight, the deal makers are crying in their cocktails. Todays vote rocked the political establishment in this state. The voters have a mind of their own and they found that out tonight.
That talk right there is why he won...
Gov. Scott will be a huge asset in 2012 to help the GOP nominee take FL.
Lets hope this jerkoff isn't headed up the river by Election Day.
The big government Republicans are in total panic and shock. They will probably try to sabatage Scott. Do not be surprised if they do. They have been growing government and raising taxes and fees for years here in Florida.
Amen, and some freepers still don;t get it and voted for McCollum. It’s like they never learned from 2008 voting for the RINOs like McCain, Romeny, and Huckles. Had Thompson won the primary he’d be our President now and Obama would still be in Illinois.
That is my favorite line from his speech.
What’s your obsession with him going to jail? It’s almost like a play right out of the liberals playbook, of telling a lie so many times people start believing it. Stop while you’re behind, McCollum lost.
Absolutely!
Exactly, the status quo in Washington don’t take kindly to outsiders. I say F-them all and let real conservatives in there that will fix problems and shrink government by getting rid of wasteful spending and government programs and agencies which Scott has vowed to do.
McCollum’s single biggest mistake was an off-the-cuff remark, apparently within a couple days if not hours of the Arizona immigration bill being passed, saying it was “out there” (or words to that effect) and that we don’t need it in Florida. Later backtracked like mad, but the the Scott ads played that clip to death.
On a grander scale, tho, McCollum just lacks the “charisma” you need to run for statewide or national office. It’s hard to define—Rubio and Crist have tons of it, Reagan and Clinton defined it—but you have to come off as interesting, engaging and likeable. McCollum, for whatever reason, doesn’t—why he’s lost three statewide elections that, on paper, he should have won. “Charisma vacuums” can keep their lower-level seats for decades (a couple local US Congressmen come to mind), but they always stumble when they seek higher office.
Ok, FL Freepers, how do you rate Scott’s chances in the general election? I saw a number of stories on the guy, most of which were negative. As they were from the MSM I discounted them. Still I would like to have opinions from those closer to the scene and, undoubtedly, much more honest.
It will be a cold day in hell before I vote for Rick Scott. I will write-in McCollum.
Your analysis is right on point. I hope that McCollum decides to officially retire from politics.
Reno went after them for Medicare payment errors because it made big headlines and scared old people.
HCA/Col settled with Reno because the legal dispute held up a merger.
Sink is a real crook and in her BOA days and her involvement with the housing mess is deep.
