Anyone who believed that McCain could be beaten by a boob like JD Hayworth was smoking something funny.
McCain beat JD almost 2:1. No surprises here.
Bingo. If a better candidate, a young conservative with fresh ideas had stepped up to the plate, they’d have had a shot but Hayworth is recycled garbage with a bad reputation to boot. He’s fortunate to have gotten the votes he did, especially considering there were a lot of folks voting “against McCain” and not necessarily for Hayworth.
