A lot of everyday people lose their jobs when these clubs are closed.

And yet, the powers that be want to further ‘punish’ the wealthy by raising their taxes.

And who will be the ones ‘punished’? The people who make these facilities run.

Similar story in the US marine industry. Due to economic malaise people have cut way back on boating expenses, which of course is a luxury item. This has predictably hurt a once thriving industry and the myriad jobs that made it run. Marinas, boat builders, all manner of marine maintenance companies and the associated trades are all suffering. Even dock bars and restaurants feel the pinch. This industry was once a world leader, but is now in a bad state.

Yeah, those “rich” are just getting what they deserve! Let ‘em have it! Let ‘em see what it feels like! They’ve had it on easy street for far too long! Make THEM pick the cotton for once. That’ll teach ‘em.

This isn't a conflict between "wealthy" and "not wealthy." It is a struggle between the employed taxpaying homeowners and the parasites.

They all vote.

Who do you think the city and county administrators will cater to? The parasites or the property taxpayer? Real Estate taxes pay the lion's share of running cities and counties.

Check your local city and county, and find out how much they spend on welfare, free food, housing subsidies and free healthcare, and how much they spend to maintain public golf courses.

You might be surprised.

The parks have become forbidden zones taken over by gangs, drug users and perverts.

The eternal political choice of doing what's easier vs doing what's right.

Of course if you don't play golf, you don't care. Right?
