Valerie Plame 'Fair Game' Movie Tosses Name Leaker Richard Armitage Down Memory Hole

The only way we even know the name of Valerie Plame (and fame seeking hubby Joe Wilson) is that that former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage leaked her name as a CIA officer to columnist Robert Novak. That is what set in motion the long drawn out Plamegate affair in which only Scooter Libby was convicted of something other than leaking her name. So you would figure that the supposedly biographical movie scheduled for a November USA release about Plame, Fair Game, would feature Armitage front and center as the principal villain. Right? Wrong. The fact is that "Fair Game" has tossed Richard Armitage down the memory hole. The man who is responsible for the reason that any of us even know who Valerie Plame is appears nowhere in the extensive IMDB cast credits for this movie.

Of course, the aforementioned Scooter Libby (David Andrews) who did not leak her name is listed. Also listed in the cast is the Armitage-leaked name of Valerie Plame (Naomi Watts), fame seeking hubby Joe Wilson (Sean Penn), Nervous Analyst #1 (Louis Ozawa Changchien), Chauvinist Analyst (Sean Mahon), (Head Paparazzo (Harry L. Seddon), Four Seasons Waitress (Satu Rautaharju), Starbucks Employee (Angela Lewis), and Turkish Embassy Guest (Marsall Factora). However, as for the person who made the "Fair Game" movie possible by leaking Valerie Plame's name, he appears nowhere on the cast credits.

Good ole traitor Armitage and his accomplish in the cover-up, Henry Kissinger, let Scooter Libby hang out to dry.

Real patriots, both of them (Henry and Richard) — NOT!!!!!

Had he come out in the beginning, Varerie and her limp- d _ _ k husband Wilson would have non stories and no one would know, or care, who they are.

Who cares anyway — except for the liberal MSM and rabid Democrats.

This movie will be a HUGE box office failure.

But because Sean Penn is in it, it will win at least one Golden Globe/Academy award.

Colin Powell certainly, and Bush - oddly enough - may bear more than a little responsibility here. Armitage did come forward to the Fitzgerald very soon after he (Fitzgerald) was appointed special counsel. I'm not entirely sure if Bush was then made aware of the fact that it was Armitage "leaked" the name, but it's pretty clear from press accounts that Armitage told Powell that he leaked the name even before Fitgerald was appointed. If Powell told Bush, then Bush should have made a statement. Of course, it's possible Powell didn't tell Bush.

In any event, at that point, Powell should have publicly fired Armitage, clearly stating why Armitage was fired. If he had done that, none of this would have blown up into the story that it did. But, Armitage and Powell are both little bitches, and this played out EXACTLY the way they wanted.

"The Leaker that dares not speak his name."

If I remember right, her hubby wasn't exactly tight lipped either.

I agree. Who in the world would pay even one penny to see it?
