As a white man having lived most of my life in black culture it damn well mattered I was white.
Where I live is in my own skin. I am of mixed genetic heritage and I was raised substantially by Koreans and Hispanics (people not of either “race” that I, myself, represent) in two highly diverse regions of the United States: Northern Virginia and New York City.
Ideology (in this case, the preoccupation with race) matters. Race doesn’t matter.
I’m sorry to know that you have been exposed to racism. So have I. That doesn’t change the fact that race is the nonsensical preoccupation of punks and losers.
