I agree with you - no mercy! But I'm afraid that we might not be able to count on Republicans (with a big "R") to do it. I think that party has been corrupted by our enemy.

All of it is worth reading, but I was struck by Frank’s description of three people among the invited company in which President Obama chose to make his announcement in support the Ground Zero mosque:
Ingrid Mattson, the head of a Muslim Brotherhood satellite organization, the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), that was identified by the Justice Department as an unindicted coconspirator in a terrorism financing case (and was proved, in fact, to have sent money to Hamas);
Salam al-Marayati, a self-described supporter of Hezbollah (and one Steve Emerson aptly describes as an anti-anti-terrorist); and
Dalia Mogahed, an apologist for sharia’s subjugation of women who has embraced ISNA, CAIR and other Islamist groups in her role as an Obama appointee to the President’s Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships.
The president has long been governing against the will of the American people. It’s good to see, concretely, whose will his governance favors. Given the choice between the 9/11 Families for a Safe & Strong America and ISNA, Obama chooses ISNA.
Unfortuanately the last American generation who were anything lioke those of the American revolution period are mstly long gone...

At some point, this country is going to have to have a national conversation/debate about what consititutes a “religion.” Reno and gang certainly had NO PROBLEM turning Waco into a war zone, did they? I’ll NEVER forget those images. Just SAYING something is a “religion” does not make it so. Example: One can proclaim that polygamy is a tenet of his religion, but he will run smack up against laws that will conflict with it. What if a “religion” required parents to sacrifice all their female babies on a funeral pyre? Hopefully, we as a nation would neither tolerate it nor allow it to sneak in under the guise of “religion.” Islam is merely political tyranny/torture masquerading as a “peaceful religion” and therefore does not warrant the protection that our founders envisioned.

Though those pages are no longer accessible, it gives you an idea of what was going on at that time.

This happened because the Republicans didn’t field a viable candidate. They must do better in 2012, or rest assured this country will be a shell of what it once was.
