Because they're able to use the arm of "Big Government", just like Obama and the rest of the "progressives" who are in the minority.

Limit the Federal bureaucracy to its enumerated powers, and that problem goes away on its own.

That should be our focus, because the "culture-war" problems STEM from Washington D.C. sticking its nose in matters that are not their constitutional concern.
