A Sociology major???? They got Sociology majors at West Point? Geesh!

FWIW, the cadets all graduate with a basic engineering major, and in addition to those courses they can specialize in something else.

My son, graduated in ‘90, chose International Relations as his “second major.

His junior year was a real killer. In addition to all the military courses, he had 7 full credit courses, in engineering and his specialty. They haven’t slacked off on the academics at all, contrary to what some think.

Some of the physical education requirements have been adjusted for women, but the women still have to most of everything the men do. Boxing, for example. I don’t think the women take that, but take some kind of karate/physical defense course that is equally tough.
