One Chicago family received an exciting gift this past weekend when four sisters each delivered babies within days of each other.
Three of the sisters, Lilian Sepulveda, 27, of Franklin Park; Saby Pazos, 29, of Bellwood; and Leslie Pazos, 24, of Stone Park gave birth to healthy babies on August 6 and 7 at Westlake Hospital in Melrose Park.
Their fourth sister, Heidi Lopez, delivered a baby in California two days later.
Dr. Jean Alexandre, Jr., an obstetrician/gynecologist on staff at Westlake Hospital, delivered the three babies this past weekend, according to a press release.
"It is very unusual but wonderful at the same time," Alexandre said. "They all were healthy."
The family said that the timing was unplanned.
"We are all surprised and shocked," said Ruben Sepulveda, one of the fathers. "It's just a blessing that everything is fine and we are happy that we are here."
All four babies are healthy, and Sepulveda looks forward to their first birthday party.
"We have to plan it," Sepulveda said. "Something big for all of them."
I’m guessing that was some party last Christmas.
Only one father mentioned, and two of the sisters have the same last name. With all of the cutesy-happy baby stores in the media these days, you have to read between the lines.
If a woman and a half has a baby and a half in a day and a half, and a train leaves Juarez traveling northbound at 87MPH, how many welfare checks does it take to turn Alabama into a blue state?
Oh my. How disturbing! I am sorry to hear that your vacation was negatively impacted by inconsiderate people. I live in New Jersey and stopped going to the beach years ago because the quality of people who frequented the public beaches was so upsetting to me. Sounds like it has only gotten worse.
I went to a Home Depot on my way home from work the other day and I felt like I was in another country. I heard very little English being spoken and unfortunately people were rude and aggressive. Even in my workplace, as a white American woman, I am distinctly a minority and some of the apparently foreign born men are most discourteous cutting me off to get on the elevator first, letting doors slam in my face. Our parking lot is littered with fast food wrappers that they must just push out of their cars. Sorry for venting, but I am just appalled by what is happening to our society. Legal immigrants are welcome when they come to contribute, but it seems we are attracting more people who are here to get rather than give; people who not interested in assimilating into our culture. Many seem to think nothing of breaking our laws and mistreating others. It all makes me angry and sad.
We need to tighten up our borders and return to unfettered free market capitalism. Cut the entitlements. Less government is better government.
It's even worse when they leave the soiled diaper on a shelf in the grocery store. Yes, I have seen that.
"Legal immigrants are welcome when they come to contribute..."That is the old model. Get with the times, FRiend. The new model is this:
"They have come to our country and have successfully recreated their old country, except that now thet have electricity, running water, and indoor plumbing. They have absolutely no desire to become Americans, as evidenced by their behavior, and to insist on them assimilating to our ways or obeying our customs will result in verbal attacks, or as is becoming more common, physical violence".
