Then along came SB1070 and Brewer saw her "golden egg" and signed the Bill knowing that 70% of Arizonans were much in favor of it.

I'm not in Arizona, but something that has been in the back of my mind since it happened is that Brewer delayed about a full week before signing 1070, and there was no clear expectation of whether she would sign it, or not. It seems her political history had not provided any clear indication whether she would sign it or not.

The rest is history, but as I've said earlier in this thread, I wonder what her position on the millions of illegals already in the US is?

My guess is that Brewer is tied in to the secure the border first, then will fall in step with McCain on the legalizing of the 20 million or so that are here. I haven’t heard her speak about it and that alone is telling me she doesn’t have anything else in mind. If she did have something good to offer she would have thrown it out into the ring I would think.
