Maybe you used a laterine when deployed...but I can assure you,..the 3/4 Cav does not use laterines when in the field.

LTC has deployed with the 3/4 Cavalry in the field.

Laterines are for base camp warriors and the Air Force

Odd. I visited some fairly small outposts in Afghanistan, and they had latrines. Even NTC started having latrines in the field during my final trip there in 94.

Since I was 49 at the time, I make no pretense of living on the front lines in Afghanistan. The FOBs I was on actually had PXs, although at one of the FOBs it was only open for 6 hours in the 6 weeks I was there. Still, anyone at a place that HAD a PX was not at the very tip of the spear!

And since I was USAF, and spent most of my career flying, I spent most of my deployments in places that had at least 10,000 foot runways. And being USAF, I was deploying half a year starting in the early 90s on...maintaining the no fly zone.
