I don’t give a flying fig what color somebody is...I judge them on who they are as a person. That said, we have had a sad history with slavery and anybody that pretends that history doesn’t color the present is not living in reality.
If two people were EXACTLY EQUAL in qualifications, and we had never had a black president...why sure, I would vote for the black person. Same as if a woman and a man were running for pres and were EXACTLY EQUAL in my estimation...I’d vote for the woman.
Shoot me. Sometimes doing something symbolic is the right thing to do.
That so many voted for Urkel just because he was black...and that the media act like lap dogs for the same reason....Pathetic. And what is more pathetic is that a black person is going to have one hell of a time running for president again, because of this foolishness.
