First hour mostly spent talking about the Post Office as an example of government inefficiencies.
Tonight Herman is taking Rapid Fire questions (caller gets a minute, Herman gets a minute to respond).
Caller: What will you do if you are president to
Herman: First thing: Zero increase in spending. Example of Godfathers Pizza (turned it around)
Second: Encourage Congress to pass “low hanging fruit” tax incentives. Example: Tax on repatriated profits
In Sept he will be publishing the “People’s Platform” addressing these issues - look for it.
Should be “ZERO tax on repatriates”
Herman adds that he would freeze increases to budget, will get Congress to go along by explaining and getting Americans onboard, so they will put pressure on Congress.
