Oh, no, I DO think they were there. I just found it strange they weren't addressed in the discussions of the article, and since I hadn't read that part just wondered if in fact they weren't there, and maybe Jon had them.

Yes, it is strange that the kids weren't mentioned in the article.
My point is that it might have been done for a reason. Most people like the eight Gosslin kids. Most people hate the mom, Kate.
An article that describes Palin paling around with the bitchy Kate elicits negative feelings. An article that describes Palin taking time to camp with eight darling kids draws forward positive feelings.
And as some of the responses in this thread shows (not yours), "feelings" do matter.
