Yes, under Hawaii law it seems that the DOH is required to release any document they have that you have a vital interest in, although neither of us has found an actual mechanism - and we seem to both be in agreement that the $12 request for a birth certificate will get you nothing more than the computer printout.

Thanks for the correction, that Hawaii DOH DOES have a vault copy long form; as well as the fact that they are required by law to release it to you if you ask for your own records!

So, while there is no REQUIREMENT, for the long form; it is interesting that there has been no effort by 0bama to request the long form.

Some may think it is because he has something to hide in that long form (speculation about religion, which IIRC isn't listed; speculation about paternity listed (was it 0bama? Strange to name the baby after a guy, and then not list him as the father.)); others think that it may be because 0bama assumes that this issue hurts us more than it hurts him.

Right now I think the tables are turning on THAT one. If enough people think that he isn't Constitutionally qualified, or that he is hiding something - his chances of reelection suffer! GOOD!

Wrong, wrong, wrong. Read the sections pertaining to who may ask for and receive the information.
Not just anybody can request the information.

...although neither of us has found an actual mechanism...
Are you saying that the laws on the books aren't the mechanism by which one obtains copies of their own information?
What other mechanism is there? Some form that has to be filled out and sent in?

Could you point out where we are in agreement on this?
