Sure it is past history. Still, it doesn't alter the fact that Cleveland may have a somewhat unique claim with respect to having a river that actually once supported combustion. That you can not deny.

Joking about something that happened 41 years ago, making reference to it as if it were present day, is harmful to the city of Cleveland. Not everyone has been to Cleveland. Image is a fragile thing, and Cleveland’s image is already bad enough.
