CHICAGO Alone on his 49th birthday, President Barack Obama fled the empty White House mansion for a more intimate celebration with longtime friends in his Chicago hometown, including Oprah Winfrey.
Obama has been living a bachelor's life for the past few days with first lady Michelle Obama and daughter Sasha visiting Spain and daughter Malia spending the month away at an undisclosed camp.

“Me thinks The One is becoming more and more detached, angry and depressed...”
Well, that’s perhaps the most interesting observation of all. What, exactly, are the options if the POTUS goes round the bend? How nuts does a Pres. have to get before he has to be removed? LBJ had a big problem with the bottle (they had to keep him on the plane at BOS for a couple of hours before they got him sober enough to let lose on the public. You are aware of the doctor’s commentary on O’s last annual physical re. laying off the booze. Not to mention the burgers and fries (but that’s another story, especially for African-Americans).
Like any male, the “danger years” begin in the 40’s. Consider the problems of concurrent mental illness and pushing a rapidly disintegrating Marxist agenda. There’s quite a synergy there on a number of levels. Now, if he has an anarchist/sociopathic streak (and I think he does), then he may not be nuts at all. He may be living his dream.
One thing’s for sure, his intentions are becoming frighteningly apparent as time goes on. What was merely conjecture regarding what he was about, is becoming realized. In a couple of years, even the folks with stars in their eyes are less likely to hold on to their illusions as everyone is going to take hits from this guy.
I had a relative who was a police detective. When LBJ came to town to give a speech, he and some other cops had to give LBJ a cold shower and coffee to try to sober him up.
He just wanted to spend time at his favorite bath-house.
Many years ago her and my dad were watching television. This young black man was speaking at some government function. My dad commented on what a "well-spoken young black man" he was. My mom said," There's something about him that I don't like and trouble's coming." The young man was Barack Obama, before he was even Senator Obama.
I admire that in your mom. I, too, discern things sort of intuitively sometimes years before some pundit articulates it. It’s like an instant recognition of a situation even BEFORE all the facts come in.
I don’t see self-harm in the mix because don’t narcissists typically target everyone BUT themselves? I do think that outlets that once brought pleasure and escape may be losing their sheen. BB and golfing have to get old after a while. We all fantasize about exotic, pampered vacations, but most of us workaday, NORMAL folks know that even that can cause satiation after a while and we long for productivity again. I predict that he will look for ever-expanding avenues for escape and “highs.”
If I were Malia, I would be pretty pi**ed that my baby sister gets to go to Spain while I have to go to a crappy old camp.
Interesting. It seems like there has a been a rash of stories over the last few days about Ubama's not eating this or not eating that.
Are we in the middle of a Muslim fasting holiday or something?
They're on the other side of the planet.
I have a similar gift. I got an eery feeling about Obama
before the election, but it was from the stylized blue and red ads. I kept thinking that I’d seen that cartoonish style and arrogant pose somewhere before.
And then it hit me: it was a dead ringer for the huge backdrop of Lenin that Kruchez would stand in front of in red square while the tanks and tractors would roll by in the early 60s. What creeped me out at six years old continues to do so.
His wife is outta town and Larry Sinclair is IN D.C.
Look who’s coming to dinner!
Seems like a pretty good birthday present to me.
LOL
But then some of us don’t have wives that look like Chebacca.
Funny how the time flies.
Bwahahahahahaha!!!!
Me too, but we'll never know.
