I believe this threat. Mexico is frustrated because Americans want to seal the border and deport illegals. They are clearly on the losing side of the issue here, and they know it.

For all practical purposes, Mexico has never been a friend of the U.S. Our relationship with them can be compared to Russia.

I'm leaning that way as well, but simply don't know. Recent stories coming out south of the border is the cartel's are in bed with "terrorist" types (I forget which raghead org...). Car bomb's are big time in play down there right now alsong with stepped up grenade use. I could have sworn I read a story here on FR about IED's too.

With Obama in charge and the federal judiciary in his pocket it is quite the opposite. They can pretty much do what they want with impunity. The reversal of the key parts of the new Arizona law proved that. As have the protests with illegals flying the Mexican flag and daring police to arrest them. Obama and his ilk (McCain included) have emasculated the American borders and justice system.
