Can we say “depression” yet?
Quite a few people are saying that...I'm not talking pundits, but everyday people. I'm often surprised at the range of people who have a pretty good idea of what lies ahead. The drive-by media are nowhere near as clever and convincing as they think they are. Neither are Congress and Obama...people know what's going on. Of course, we FReepers can do our part to fill them in on the things the MSM doesn't...like the 1099 deal.

I'm often surprised at the range of people who have a pretty good idea of what lies ahead. Without cutting social programs and minimizing the cost of government, we're screwed. There's no way out. Deflation is on the horizon.
We'll see a little "comfort" for a few months, but government money is the only thing keeping things alive right now - and they've wasted most of it. Because of that, the private sector doesn't have any, either. They've leeched the country dry.
It's about to turn really, really ugly. When those freebies aren't available for the freeloaders - watch out.
