Law enforcement authorities in Portland, Ore., have concluded that there is insufficient evidence to proceed with a criminal prosecution of former vice president Al Gore after a massage therapist accused him of sexually assaulting her in a 2006 incident.

The Multnomah County District Attorney's Office reached its decision after reviewing a follow-up Portland police investigation into the woman's allegations. The case was reopened in June after the massage therapist publicly asserted in a National Enquirer article that Gore tried to force her to have sex with him.

I don't know if AlGore did it or not. There is a reason lie detectors are not admitted as evidence - they are unreliable.
The DA did not say there was no evidence he said there was not enough evidence.
I wonder what will happen with the other two woman who have come forward with similar allegations.

Do you think she will join forces with the other woman who have come forward with similar stories?
It is interesting that Tipper left him on or about the time the story broke.

It’s difficult to say. Sadly, this masseuse incident seems just like the kind of petty and controlling behavior that Al has exhibited in other areas. It’s possible that Gore may have spread some of his carbon trading $$$ around to put an end to the legal aspect of this incident. He should have done so sooner, but he doesn’t seem to have a real strong connection with reality.

But, as with OJ, it will never go away. It is pretty funny and provides endless fodder for the late night comics.

If Gore did it, he will do it again. This kind of behavior is not something easily controlled. A few years from now something else will come out. Maybe a street hooker incident like Hugh Grant.
