I hate comcast....hate that I have to pay for boxes and a fee every month for the tvs in my kids rooms. I won’t do it....they are going back to college next month......always raising prices and dropping services. What was once a $99 promo for bundling 3 pkgs for phone, cable & internet now is well over $190.....we’re looking elsewhere
I pay Comcast $105 per month for basic cable and internet - no phone. I hate it too but there are no other options for those services in my area.
Dear Madeline:
When you find a replacement for ComCast, please let me know what it is. I have the triple play, too, and the monthly cost has nearly doubled for me, as well.
Yeah I hate them too. If you pay for HBO or HD channels, you shouldn’t get nicked for the damn boxes too. At least they don’t charge for the digital converters, but then I can’t get the channels I pay for on those sets.
And some of that great tech help killed my DVR the other day when they sent some kind of fixit utility down the wire.
I could go over to Dish Direct and get a DSL line for a little less than the 190 I pay now, but there’s a whole different set of headaches there.
As well you should. You may not save much money, but you'll definitely get much more for your money. For TV, there's basically no better way to go than Dish Network or Direct TV. However, in my area, Comcast does do an excellent job for high speed internet service, especially compared to Time Warner Roadrunner service in other parts of the country. Sorry to hear Comcast has out-countried their service calls; they'd finally gotten pretty good at it compared to years ago.
“I hate comcast....were looking elsewhere”
It’s the entire reason I’m going with AT&T DSL. Yeah, it’s a bit slower, but it’s reliable, unlike Comcast. I hate I have no other options. Comcast is miserable. They have without question the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. In my residence in Memphis, they made 5 very inconvenient service trips to my house and never fixed my service. In every location I’ve had frequent and inconvenient loss of service.
Comcast can fly off a cliff. Time-Warner was so much nicer to work with, and they were far more reliable. AT&T has been great, as well.
