4 hours at 220V. Wouldn’t that be like 4 hours with the dryer on high? or your water heater?

As compared to a some gas cars that can go that far on $2.79 worth of unleaded?

I just bought a 2011 Sonata that averaged 38.5 and 39.1 on my first two 200 mile round trip to visit relatives and I go over high elevations both to and from Palm Springs to Orange county CA. Sonata runs $22,000 Plus depending on options. Sonata is built by non union American workers in Tennessee. I didn’t even consider GM when looking.

With all the incentives, why doesn't the gov't just buy everyone (at least the po folk) one of these? They're dirt cheap and get great mileage if you don't mind getting squished like a bug.
