If we look at the circumstances under which she got hounded out of the governor’s mansion, it’s pretty darn clear that this was a fluke, and a fortunate fluke because it freed her up to do things she never could, or would find impractical, as a governor.
Here’s the thing that makes me fume: Each and every one of these Palin bashers screaming that “she quit” would wrinkle their noses up at her as she lied there on the ground broke, exhausted, and her family and state in tattered ruins at the end of her term. As if the liberal media and the water-carriers here would empathize with Palin and proudly say that she “stood strong” against the ongoing ethics violations. Hell no, they would treat her like some homeless bum in New York.
