former CIA chief Michael Hayden said Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union."
My personal view is that Iran left to its own devices will get itself to that step right below a nuclear weapon," said Hayden, "and frankly that will be as destabilizing as their actually having a weapon.

I know, it'll never happen under 0bama. It sure will, the minute it is politically expedient for that scumbag.
I dread an October surprise, Lancey!

In case you missed the memo, Iran has been making offensive moves against the United States for more than 30 years, starting with their illegal seizure of our Embassy in Tehran.Ahem. Excuse me. Since Mossadeq stole the Anglo-American oilfields in the '40s.

Ahem. Excuse me. Since Mossadeq stole the Anglo-American oilfields in the '40s.
Excuse me, FRiend, it was in '51 that Mohammed Mosaddeq attempted to nationalize the oil fields, but we got his ass outta there in '53 with Operation Ajax.

We’re not making light of the sacrifice of people in the armed forces. We’re making light of the destruction of an army run by corrupt fanatics who use Sharia Law as an excuse for murder and mayhem.

Please try to consider this, and talk about bombing foreign countries in a more respectful way.
Fee Fi Fo Fum, I smell a troll.

The point remains, he doesn’t have the guts. It has nothing to do with the brave men & women who put their lives on the line to protect my freedom.
Sigh... He’ll write one more strongly worded letter. He’s a wussy. A muslim wussy.

"Its sickening that you talk about risky military action in such coy terms as doesnt have the guts. Bombing a foreign country, which has not made an offensive move against us militarily, is always a serious action that puts many peoples lives at risk in the service. Please try to consider this, and talk about bombing foreign countries in a more respectful way."
I've been in combat. I'm not claiming to be a hero, just a guy who did his job.
Bombing is a fact of life in war. In case you haven't noticed, we're at war.
I know full well the consequences of bombing. I've had air strikes called in with a half-click of my position. It's probably the only reason I'm still here.
The only mistake we're making, in my not-so-humble opinion, is not using every resource and every munition at our disposal to wipe the enemy, and any memory of what he was, where he lived and his demonic moon-god off the face of the earth.
Now.
Collateral damage? You Betcha!
I'd rather collaterally damage the whole Arab world than see one more American soldier get a hangnail.
That respectful enough for ya, Sparky?

Thank YOU for having the knowledge of why the U.S. (with the UK's support) tossed out that little runt Mosaddeq in the first place. Many people know very little about U.S./Iran relations, even fewer know that it was CIA operative Kermit Roosevelt (grandson of Teddy Roosevelt) that was instrumental in getting rid of Mosaddeq.

Nobody has addressed the point that I was making, which was that talking about bombing foreign countries in such a nonchalant way seems to be making light of the sacrifice of people in the armed forces. Would you rather we talked about it seriously? Glad to oblige. After enduring thirty years of proxy war against U.S. personnel by the criminal Iranian theocracy, we have every right to take whatever action we desire against the murdering bastards. Is that serious enough for you?
Let's keep it nonchalant. It probably won't happen and everybody gets a giggle out of it that way.
To: xbrand2; sig226
Were not making light of the sacrifice of people in the armed forces....'cause that's what a whole bunch of us either have been, retired from, got kids/grandkids/relatives/friends currently on the line or all of the above.
xbrand2, I don't even know if you're still around here, but if and when you leave, be assured that none of us take any of what's happening now with anything but the same commitment that came with the oath we swore.
There's absolutely nothing even faintly casual about dropping any kind of bomb on anybody at any time, and a lot of folks around here have been there and done that to prove that case.
There's also nothing even faintly casual about burying civilians, even ones you've never met before some two-bit political scumbag decided to wipe 'em out.
Been there and done that sh**, too.
Just a suggestion: Try posting something that you know jacksh** about. Iran and the military definitely are not on that list.
