We’re in a war here. The fight of our lives. If you think we are not, if you think the very foundation of our country is not being threatened and attacked by a very clever and persistant army that would destroy us, enslave us, then I suggest you give it some more thought. Time to gird our loins. Time to buck up. Time to think in military metaphors, even if we are not using firearms.
We are currently fighting this war on soap boxes and at ballot boxes. If we win here, we will not have to move on one day to the ammo box. But we will only win at this point if we realize that this is a war, an assualt by tyrrants who would enslave or annihilate us. If enemies like Franken are afraid of us, I celebrate it, and my mind goes to thoughts of Patton, who knew how to fight and win.
