USSR had no good motorcycles. The Central Planners just didn't see them as necessary. Only Ural was manufactured, as far as I know, and that was a German design from 1940. The rest was all import. So if a Russian citizen today wants a motorcycle, he has a wide selection of foreign models.
I wonder how successful a person could be if they sold foreign motorcycles in Russia.
