President Barack Obama called Shirley Sherrod Thursday to offer his apologies and urge her to accept a promotion on Thursday, but the Agriculture Department official, who was forced out on unfounded charges of racism, kept mum on her plans.
Obama had tried to call her twice on Wednesday night but couldnt connect with Sherrod, according to an administration official. West Wing staffers were attempting to call her again when she returned the presidents calls at around 12:35 p.m.
The apology came after Sherrod took to the airwaves Wednesday to say she would appreciate a call from the president. The 62-year-old grandmother resigned at the direction of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack after a misleading video was posted on conservative websites. It later was discovered to have been doctored to misrepresent Sherrod as racist.

Awaiting NAACP apology to Tea Party for their unfounded racism accusations.

Publicly admit to not doing your job to the best of your ability, but still get a promotion because of that?
Sign me up!
doctored?
How was it doctored in anyway?
It’s even more incriminating when you watch what wasn’t shown later in her speech.
Of course 0dumbo wants her to take the job, he doesn’t want her to sue
she has said she might sure breitbart
for what?
btw if you watch the entire vid she says Republicans are onlyagainst obamacare because 0dumbo is black.
If that isn’t racist I don’t know what is.
Did Sherrod or did she not say that she worked against a white farmer just because he was a white farmer?
This is going to blow up in obama’s face BIG TIME!!!
Is Glenn Thrush one of these Journolists? He states a lie about the video being doctored.
For Pete's sake, this guy is a child.
Meanwhile nothing from the Pravda Media on the Journolist exposure of the media cabal that smears conservative critics as “racists” and beats them down “as warning” to other conservatives to shut the f*** up.
Documents show media plotting to kill stories about Rev. Jeremiah Wright [Journolist] (The Daily Caller July 20, 2010 Jonathon Strong)
In one instance, Spencer Ackerman of the Washington Independent urged his colleagues to deflect attention from Obamas relationship with Wright by changing the subject. Pick one of Obamas conservative critics, Ackerman wrote, Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares and call them racists.
... Spencer Ackerman, then of the Washington Independent (now writing for Wired)... “I do not endorse a Popular Front, nor do I think you need to. Its not necessary to jump to Wright-qua-Wrights defense. What is necessary is to raise the cost on the right of going after the left. In other words, find a rightwingers [sic] and smash it through a plate-glass window. Take a snapshot of the bleeding mess and send it out in a Christmas card to let the right know that it needs to live in a state of constant fear. Obviously I mean this rhetorically.”
Liberal journalists suggest government shut down Fox News (The Daily Caller ^ | 7/21/2010 | Jonathan Strong )
Jonathan Zasloff, a law professor at UCLA, suggested that the federal government simply yank Fox off the air. I hate to open this can of worms, he wrote, but is there any reason why the FCC couldnt simply pull their broadcasting permit once it expires?
Barack Obama has yet to meet with Cindy Sheehan (Bush did).
Two birds of a feather flocking together!!! Both Communists & America haters!!!
Did he kiss her ass also?
Correct. Later in the video she says that criticism of Obamacare is racist and that there was none of this dissent for 8 long years while Bush was President.
****It later was discovered to have been doctored to misrepresent Sherrod as racist.****
No Mr. Journ0list, it was NOT DOCTORED!!!! It was just shorted - like Soros shorting US stocks. And the WH panicked.
Makes you wonder what would happen if Russian TV played a tape of StarWars!!!
He’s afraid she’ll beat him up.
That's the racism I'm concerned about: the unrepentant racism of the NAACP.
