I was hoping you’d see the post, Al. I knew you would come up with the quote which shows it was Reagan who coined, or at least popularized, the term commonsense conservative. That was the characteristic that drew me to him in the first place.

“Common sense” is missing in judicial decisions and in almost all, if not all, legislation.

Sarah is right and very intelligent to insert “common sense” into her description of conservative. She also often says, “Constitutional” conservative.

Praise owed to all of you on this thread and I’m sure I’ve forgotten to cite others.
