Good observation, it is like a domineering parent talking to juvenile children. It really is a graphic reflection of the Leftist mindset, an arrogant assumption, and need, of superiority; and more subtly, a psychological projection of just how one views other human adults, as juveniles like they themselves are juveniles.

Another observation: although we had differences with GWB, could you imagine any of that administration speaking with such condescension?

Same with “make no mistake.” The underlying message is that he is about to say something, that, if you don’t agree with it, that’s because you are making a mistake, you are ignorant, you just don’t understand.
