Tonight, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) will debate his primary challengers, former Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-AZ) and conservative "tea party" activist Jim Deakin in one of only two Republican primary debates.

During the one hour debate, Hayworth will likely concentrate on McCain's 28 years in Congress with a focus on his position on immigration. Deakin said he will compare and contrast his approach in representing constituents to the "other two entrenched politicians." A McCain campaign spokesman said that the Senator "looks forward to a spirited discussion on the issues facing Arizonans."

The LIVE debate will take place tonight at KTVK-TV in Phoenix, Arizona.

Beg to differ, but as a former Zonie, I see McLame winning. JD has yet to pose a specific, just poke at McC. I will be interested in hearing what Barry Young has to say on Monday. I still haven’t heard what the people say about the debate.

You can tell that McCain lost the debate. When I clicked on the AZRepRag site, not ONE of the first Three headlines was about the debate, and if McSlime had done worth a damn, they would ALL have been touting it. Norwicki's article was just about as condescending a tone as McSlime constistenly puts on.

Deakin tried to make it seem like JD has been in office all this time with Mccain.

He (Deakin) is, so not ready for office, he needs lots of practice.

A vote for Deakins, simply helps to guarantee a McCain win.

Deakin doen't have a chance to win, he is in the race to draw votes away from Hayworth.

In effect, if you are voting for Deakins, you're voting for McCain and the Status Quo.
