Have a credit union credit and debit card. When I use the debit card in the Philippines there are several “pending charges” in different amounts, for example $21.76, $21.72 and 21.55. The actual amount was $21.75.
The amount of $21.75 is deducted from my checking account and the pending charges are held against the account for 15 days until there is a final posting. The pending charges are never fully processed.
Not sure why this happens.
Maybe something having to do with monetary rates of exchange?
