Another good example why you don’t sit out an election. Votes count and elections matter. We are reaping what we have sowed. By we I mean people who said they weren’t going to vote because of this issue or that issue that a candidate did or didn’t agree with.
WOW, I wonder how the guys and gals in SF feel about that?
They are very happy.

Obviously, my intention with the question was to make people think - especially those who go around yelling “impeach him” or “we must stop this.” I’ve been asking the questions since 11/08, but kept getting the same answers - let’s just call our reps, email, sign petitions, march on D.C., etc. etc.
Everything that could have been known about Obama was “knowable” before 11/4/08. The problem is that we all know it’s going to take something most aren’t willing to do. And when folks finally decide they are willing to do what it takes, it may be too late.
So - I’ll be content to endure the current mindset...”wait until November.” Unfortunately, what most who say that don’t realize is that November means nothing to Obama.
I’m finding there are 2 kinds of people in this country/world: those who still believe we’re simply in a cycle - and those who realize that’s a myth.
This article has an error. It implies that both U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents have equal ability to sponsor spouses and immediate family members for a green card or immigrant visa.
While citizens do have the privilege to sponsor a spouse or immediate family member for immediate immigration (no quotas or lines), family members (including spouses) sponsored by permanent residents are subject to quotas and accordingly, long lines (sometimes many years).
In any event, what this article suggests cannot be done without a federal recognition of gay marriage. No “civil unions” or anything else will work.
