Your experience makes perfect sense from the standpoint of some bad cop with connections in the towing business.

A slightly different story was printed in the papers about a year ago: small Texas town, with Hispanics pulled over and shaken down. Figured the illegal ones wouldn’t dare complain.

With the sigma attached to drunk driving, no one wants to examine the fee structure and how it might be abused, thus enabling those who would twist a perfectly decent law for ill-gotten gains.

Which is really shameful and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Going to your local DOJ or FBI office sound like the best plan. It is a conspiracy to extort monies based on a false arrest. Just because there is a legal penalty for DUI offenses, deliberately charging a non-offender is really no different than a stick up!

Good luck.

With the amount of money that can be made, it becomes inevitable.

But I am not going to get involved, any more than I want a hole in my head. As soon as you get involved, your quality of life can be negatively effected in so many ways, in ways you would never expect. My only goal is to garner some notoriety to this situation, and do it anonymously. This was just a test run, and FR is a good place to do it. After this, I am going to put the cops name and location into the article, and start a general campaign of posting this on any and all websites that will have it. It will eventually be a light shined into a dark place.

At that point, something will have to be done. It is just a matter of time.
