Unfortunately, Hayworths lack of fund raising has made that impossible...he didnt generate a lot of interest money-wise...magritte That's not really correct. He's raised $2 million, which is a healthy amount for a challenger in a state of Arizona's size. Challengers never have the funds to match entrenched incumbents unless they are independently wealthy.
And we still have three debates and about six weeks to go, the real heart of any campaign.

According to opensecrets.org, Hayworth has raised $1,074,164 to date, with McCain raising over $15 million. By comparison, challenger Scott Brown raised almost $16 million and Marco Rubio $7 million.
We'll see if any additional money can be generated after the debates, but it's late in the game...magritte
