It is no secret that the Obamas are advocates for free handouts, but even in her personal life Michelle Obama does not appear to have shied away from accepting free goodies. Numerous news outlets have reported on the first ladys proclivity for high fashion. And Mrs. Obamas pricey tastes have not precluded her ability to wear the outfits over which many women drool.
Rumors abound as to exactly how the first family obtains all the pomp and frills associated with Mrs. Obamas wardrobe. Do the Obamas pay for it all themselves or are the first ladys outfits given to her gratis? As with most things, it appears the answer lies somewhere in the middle.
Ikram Goldman, owner of the Chicago boutique Ikram, manages the majority of the first ladys sartorial needs. Any designer wishing to dress Mrs. Obama must first go through Goldman, who remains exceedingly tight-lipped as to her dealings with the first lady. According to the Center for Responsive Politics, Goldman donated $6,900 to Barack Obamas 2008 presidential campaign, yet it is unclear whether Mrs. Obama pays for her services.
True to form, Goldman has yet to respond to any of The Daily Callers myriad attempts to contact her.

As was Nancy Reagan unlike that slum whore dressing person who some address as the first lady, but not I.
The first lady of France is Italian, and the first lady of Senegal is French. How about that?
Guidelines? Disclosures? HAHAHAHAHA!
Rules are for Republicans only.
Interesting observation. I didn’t know the story about the First Lady of Senegal.
Carla is now a French citizen. She was, as you have pointed out, born in Italy, to an Italian family.
"I'm in my Oil Spill-Appropriate Dress."
Lady in background: "Honey, it looks like you wiped your oily fingers all over that dang thing!"
I do enjoy that site. I love it when someone makes a mild criticism of Michelle (e.g. “she’s wearing that belt too high” or “those horizontal stripes aren’t flattering”) and the rest of the posters accuse the critic of being a racist hatemonger. FR’s Michelle fashion discussions would make that bunch have a collective stroke.
She went to the Gulf..standing on white beaches in a white dress with black splotches all over it.
_______________
I noticed that too, and wondered the same thing.
WASHINGTON - JULY 14: First lady Michelle Obama (R) and Dr. Re; the picture with the caption, ‘Jill Biden attend an event about the Affordable Care Act at George Washington University Hospital July 14, 2010 in Washington, DC. Hospital employees also attended this event, including Inger Mobley, left, Clinical Manager of the Breast Care Center. Obama pointed out new regulations in the Affordable Care Act that will require new health plans to cover the cost of preventive screenings for diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure.’
Did big MO spill a urine specimen on her dress?
.
That America hating/white hating shrew!
That all white outfit with the big black globs on it had to be on purpose.
Thanks for the ping.
Thanks for the ping.
I think it’s a reasonable assumption that Goldman is getting a thrill out of making Michelle Obama look utterly horrible.
“The first lady of France is Italian, and the first lady of Senegal is French. How about that?”
As Yogi Berra might say, “Only in America!”
I think they may have mistaken bile for drool. I know she makes me sick to my stomach anytime I see a picture of her.
I thought Michelle Obama made all of her own clothes. No professional person could put together such a ridiculous and unattractive array of outfits. She looks like she just stumbled out of a drop off container at the Free Store. And, I don’t think anyone can miss that African basket on the head, flies on the children look she has mastered.
No, I wouldn’t worry about the value of her wardrobe, its inconsequential.
OMG— I missed this one originally. What was the occasion for wearing this thing?
I get it!
