Getting older slows your metabolism too.


Maybe a little, but the big factor is that people tend to reduce their activity level when they get older. If you are active like a teen when you are 60, you’ll pretty much be able to eat like a teen.

No, it’s true. My doctor just showed me the documentation on it. And it’s worse in women after menopause.

It comes down to the body’s ability to produce Human Growth Hormone, which is why most teen can sleep 10 hours a day, sit on a computer or in front of the tv, each whatever they want and still not gain weight. It levels at age 25 and is non-existent after menopause.
