Of course morality and law come from God. He is the only one who has that power and authority to say what is good, and what is evil.

Apparently He's clued you in as you then go on and tell us what God really thinks.

Maybe Cochran can get you off on that Pride & Hubris charge.

Apparently He's clued you in as you then go on and tell us what God really thinks.

He's clued you in to.

First, in your own heart. The Law of God is written there, so you or I have no excuse.

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things. Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen." Romans 1: 18-25

Secondly, we have the rest of God's word fully revealed to us. We can discern God's clear character, and stance, on every subject under the sun - from lust, to jealousy, to greed, to love, to forgiveness, and on, and on, and on.

Lastly, it is not hubris to state or defend what God's word says. I believe, however, that one must be very careful whenever dealing with God's word. To start with, it must really be what God's word says that we are presenting. If you ever noticed a man of character like Billy Graham speak, he always will state: "The bible says....." and then go and present his argument. Moreover, I think care must be taken in presenting God's word faithfully, meaning there are no end runs or hidden agendas. When people twist God's word for their own gain, disaster strikes. Look what calamities false "prophets" from Joseph Smith to Jim Jones have wrought when that has happened.
