CBS’ Bob Schieffer interviewed Attorney General Eric Holder for the entire half-hour Face the Nation on Sunday. He asked about Arizona immigration, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Guantanamo.
But he didn’t ask Holder about the Black Panther/DOJ case. Should he have?
I was on America Live with Megyn Kelly this afternoon to weigh in. While Schieffer didn’t ask Holder about it – and should have – none of the Sunday shows brought up the topic during any interview, including FOX News Sunday. In fact, as Kelly points out, the only person in the administration who has been asked about the story is Press Secretary Robert Gibbs – because our White House correspondent Tommy Christopher asked him.
Also, Kelly raised the possibility of two options – either Scheiffer “doesn’t care about the story” or CBS agreed to guidelines before the interview. I believe the first one, and a CBS source tells Mediaite he doubts any deal was in place before the interview.

A real reporter would have. But of course Bob Scheiffer is NOT a real reporter. He’s a propagandist, and a darn good one at that.
Schieffer has been alone on a desert island if he never heard of this story or possibly he only got the interview with the understanding he NOT ask questions on the subject. Either way he does not look good.
Fox “News” is a joke, except for Glen Beck. Their “journalists” are spineless.
Keep in mind that Mediaite is run by Dan Abrams. Former disgraced MSNBC host.
He’s as relevant as Howie Kurtz.
As far as CBS is concerned, the Black Panther case does not exist. Who? What?
It is bizarre he would frame his article this way. He was making excuses for Schieffer with Megan today. I don’t see why.
The situation is so rotten MSM doesn’t need marching orders. They already understand how to be scumbags.
How exactly is "Dan Abrams" been disgraced? Was he part of some scandal that is not well known?
And, Abrams was fired by MSNBC because he didn't want to engage in kind of political blood sport that their newer anchors have engaged in.
Abrams may be a liberal, but he's a 1A champion, and Mediaite has a couple of writers that do write critical pieces of the media with respect to bias, much like this story.
