Mel Gibson's mainstream Hollywood career is over -- for real, this time
L.A Times ^ | July 9th, 2010

It's interesting to try to divine the chicken-and-egg of Mel Gibson's firing by WME last week: Was it his (first-alleged, now aurally proved) misogynistic and racist comments that enabled the agency to part ways with him, or was it the death of longtime agent Ed Limato that did the trick?

Earlier today the news surfaced that William Morris Endeavor had split with Gibson last week-- as Limato lay seriously ill, and just several days after Radar Online broke the news that Gibson had verbally abused his girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva by using the N-word. (The reports were just that until today, when audio of the Gibson incident was released on Radar.)

There's of course a third variable in all this -- the fact that Gibson just wasn't much of a bankable star anymore anyway.

He can get all the leg he wants, why make himself vulnerable on a career level? Why have another child?

Take a visit to Thailand. Go into a Tesco Lotus and pick some benign item, say TV stands. Watch the 65 year old guy with with the glazed over look in his eyes the 24 year old wife and the two babies as she excitedly picks out the new TV stand and he's thinkin', "Why the hell did I do THIS again?"

It's a man thing, losing all rational thinking when a piece of tail is involved. Class or income barriers be damned. Couple that with a woman's ability to be callous, manipulating and devious and you've got problems. (case in point John Edwards)

And no, I am not a stalker, I just like your posts. You actually get it and get that we are in the last inning and bases are loaded.

I couldn't disagree more; if you refuse to acknowledge a valid point, your opponent can use that against you. It weakens your argument.

Here is a valid point, pedophiles love children.

Wrap your liberal arms around that and preach it to the world. Personally I won't discuss it with a liberal or a pedophile because it is a BS ploy.

You liberals do what you want just don't expect us conservative to join you in your faggotry.

Let me get this straight.

It is your view that only a liberal would acknowledge that it was a mistake for Americans to hold African Americans in slavery and place them in scientific experiments?

And since it is apparent that you believe that only a liberal could recognize the evils of slavery, could you please point me to a Conservative leader who like you would not see American slavery as evil?

“And your point is?”

You mentioned that it was Christians that lead the Abolitionist Movement and as a Christian I am proud of my faith.

However, you have not been able to answer my question as to what the religion was of those who owned slaves in America.

If you are somehow is disagreement with me that slavery in America was a mistake and that America failed African Americans by condoning the institution of slavery, please state you opinion advocating slavery in America.

If you are unable to do so, we are in full agreement on the issue.

“How does Robert Mugabe’s Zimbabwe treat white farmers? How do Moslems in Sudan treat Christians and Animists?”

While you may hold America to the same standard as you do Zimbabwe and Sudan, I on the other hand hold America to a higher standard than I do other nations.

I understand that you disagree with my view that slavery is and was a crime against humanity and a violation of God’s Laws.

Wrong argument boy.

You get off your lazy liberal ass and address every post I made to you or we are in full agreement that I am right about everything I posted and you are wrong about everything you posted.

Further, you agree that if you don’t completely address every post I made to you on this thread you will kill yourself before close of business CST 07/12/2010.

There NOW we have a contract.

It’s defending his right to *Privacy* If I want to say the N-Word in my house all day long that is my buisness.

We have a right to *privacy*

Could you please point to the place in the Constitution that grants you or Mel Gibson a “Right to Privacy?”

In the meantime, I will provide for you the place in the Constitution that grants the media the right to publish what Mel Gibson said on that tape to the mother of his chid as well as that time he told the police that “The Jews are responsible for all the wars.”

See: First Amendment

“He was was not talking in private he was talking to the police so why did you bring it up?”

Perhaps you can show me where in the Constitution that grants Mel Gibson a right to privacy.

And yes, Gibson’s statement of “F***ing Jews...the Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.” is relevant in this discussion.

However, if you would like to defend Gibson’s statement to the police regarding who he believes are responsible for all the wars, feel free to do so.

Yep. Tru is an intellectually lazy Troll.

I've never said my country is always right; however, only an America loathing, mouth breathing, progressive-libtard Troll would admit to harboring bias against his own nation.

Perhaps Tru-Troll would prefer to reside in a more progressive and enlightened nation, such as Cuba, the jewel of the carribean...

You consistantly imply that only white, American Christians practiced slavery.

Incidently, Native Americans and Blacks also owned slaves during the colonial and early american period of our nations history.

I guess your childhood overuse of recreational pharmecuticals really did cause permanent brain damage.

“You mean ‘words’, private words only heard in public because of recordings.”

He does not have a right to privacy, but the media does have the right to publish that he told the mother of his child that she would be raped by a bunch of N-Bombs and that he made a statement to the police that the Jews are responsible for all the wars.

Hillary Clinton said something similar. Perhaps this qualifies Mel Gibson for a cabinet position with the Obama administration.

None of that is what you said. This is what you said in Post 155: I’m not quite sure America has paid for the “mistake” of slavery, but even if it has paid for that “mistake,” it does not minimize that mistake or absolve America of slavery and placing African Americans in scientific experiments.

You are a liberal trying to rephrase and run from your statements.

I stand by my statement of:

“I’m not quite sure America has paid for the “mistake” of slavery, but even if it has paid for that “mistake,” it does not minimize that mistake or absolve America of slavery and placing African Americans in scientific experiments.

Now, please tell me which conservatives do not consider slavery in America or scientific experiments on African Americans to have been a mistake.
