Bill Clinton is not giving away his daughter Chelseas hand in marriage for another three weeks. But he is going to get a little practice at the altar on Saturday, when he officiates at the wedding of Representative Anthony D. Weiner and Huma Abedin, a longtime aide to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.
The ceremony will be at Oheka Castle in Huntington, N.Y., in the early evening.
Matt McKenna, a Clinton spokesman, told The Associated Press that Mr. Clinton would conduct the ceremony and was authorized to do so, but did not elaborate. Aides to Mr. Weiner, who represents Queens and Brooklyn, declined to comment.
Mr. Weiner, 45, has been a longtime ally of Mrs. Clinton. Mr. Weiner, who is Jewish, has also been considered one of the most eligible bachelors on Capitol Hill. Ms. Abedin, 34, who grew up in Saudi Arabia and is Muslim, was once featured in a Vogue fashion spread.
The two have been dating for about two years, and announced their engagement last summer, not long after Mr. Weiner decided not to mount another run for mayor of New York.

A quick review of Article 3, Section 11 of the Domestic Relations Code of the State of New York says Slick is not authorized to conduct such a wedding. That's what I was going to ask -- is the impeached and disbarred one authorized to conduct a wedding? Isn't that grounds for annulment?

I recently attended a wedding in Pennsylvania where the bride and groom essentially married themselves, using a special type of marriage license which permits this I had a boy friend in college who used to try that line on me. (Just you and I under the stars with God as our witness. It will be just the same as if we were married. We don't need a church.) It never worked. I thought that scam went out in the '50s. LOL.

Id occupy her territories if you get my drift ;) That token political baby has got to come from somewhere. Ask Hillary. If you're up to the task and have a bit more to contribute to the gene pool than Web Hubble, have at it.

Did Bill Clinton get one of those become a minister for $50 deals from the Internet?

"Sham marriage to quash the Beasts lesbo taint for her 2012 candidacy. If Hillary wins, look for Huma to be on her staff and Wiener to be given a gravy Admin. job."
NY Post today is reporting the Clintons are buying a new and bigger mansion in Westchester County, NY. It's a more isolated place, perfect for an individual who plans on entering a Presidential race.

The Hillary/Huma scandal rumors are everywhere. Weiner, at 44, in his white middle class district, needs to be married. One marriage of convenience needs another. I think you're right. It's a sham marriage to provide both Hillary and Weiner with political cover against the gay rumors.

I figured that only on Touched by an Angel could two people get married without an earthly minister or judge officiating.

You have to give Weiner credit, though. He at least has the guts to appear on FOX News and speak out, unlike some of his slimy socialist peers.

Yup. And the reason Bill Clinton is officiating is to bring more press attention to this sham marriage than it would otherwise merit. Why go to all the trouble of marrying off Hillary’s gal pal if no one notices?
