NBC's Lee Cowan, on Thursday's NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams, discovered a stunning result of Arizona's new immigration policies - illegal immigrants are now leaving the state. Cowan opened his piece noting a long line now "stretches around the Mexican Consulate in Phoenix every day" but noticed a twist, as the line was full of "immigrants trying to figure out not how to stay in Arizona, but how to flee it."

Bingo! You said a mouthful. If the State of AZ can clearly demonstrate that the unemployment rate is dropping since the law went into effect then it is a complete game changer. The "new" conventional wisdom will be that illegal immigration costs American citizens jobs.
But that is just the beginning. If AZ can clearly show that demands for emergency services and law enforcement are dropping since the law went into effect, then consider it a watershed event. The case for illegals will be trumped by the argument against illegals. The argument will be that illegal immigration costs jobs, revenue, taxes (yes) and well being of American citizens.
The Dems and Latin American countries have everything to lose.
Last night on BOR he blindsided Palen with the question what you do with the 12 million already here...he led up to that saying well, we cannot deport them all. True. She should have said: stop all benefits to anyone not legally here or a citizen and they should self deport, it is working in Az and they have not cut off benefits, yet.
This is exactly right. No jobs, No benefits they will leave.
Few Pols have the courage to say that.
To answer the question on why illegals have to go to the consul here to get back ito mexico, they needs docs for their kids. mexico will not enroll an kid without docs . unlike Uncle Sugar who let all those illegals into school, gave them immunizations and med care , and 2.5 meals a day 6 days a week ALL year
buh bye, take your anchor brats with you and do not come back
I would suggest the “reporters” live in Casa Grande for a year and commute to Tucson or Phoenix. That should wake them up even more.
Whoa, not so fast, FM. Are you trying to tell me Chupa Cabras is not real? But I’ve seen pictures of it online. Where did those pictures come from, if it’s not real? Next thing you’ll be telling me there’s no Moth Man. At least you believe in the Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot, right? Right???
;)
LOL!
Proverbs 28:1 The wicked man flees though no one pursues...
California will take them in. California is very compassionate, and we have lots of extra money.
Adios Amigos!
On second thought, let's not even consider that. We already know B is true and don't need further proof.
Good place for em.
They've probably been here so long they no longer have papers to get back into their own country.
You should see them all leaving on the weekend on Interstate 10. Many look like Jed Clampett moving to Beverly Hills.
Why are you bashing Rubio? You want Crist to win? Sheesh
The argument could be made that by delivering them to Mexico we are infringing on the Feds domain. SF is a sanctuary city, similar in climate to Guadalajara, and the bienvenidos mat is out in full force. They should be grateful to have them.
Of course there’s probably some “crossing state lines for the purpose of...” statute, but hey, you don’t make a ham and cheese omelet without first breaking some eggs, then chopping some ham, then adding cheese although I have found I can add the cheese afterwards.....
No I want a real Tea Party conservative. Crist is a POS but Rubio is a Jeb Bush-bot open-borders RINO. Rubio blocked a AZ type law in the FL House. He is Mel Martinez 2.
Because so many love to inject racism or read it into comments, the bienvenidos mat is always out for lawful green card holders and visa holders. Not for illegals.
It’s the goat sucker. I haven’t heard anything about it for almost ten years now but IIRC there were stories being hyped about goats found sucked dry of blood with a strange creature seen running away...
Think the worst of the tabloids on the rack at the grocery store checkout.
