I know this story has gotten coverage on FR, but I found this interesting. The headline above was on the story before and still shows up in Google.
Maybe they got heat for calling these "raucous protests," because the headline changed to "83 arrests in Oakland follow Mehserle verdict" (which is what it shows now). Even "raucous protests" seems mild for the events of last night...how about throwing the word "riot" into that headline?
The story points out the "lawlessness," but I guess it doesn't meet their definition of a riot. (Why? My guess is that they couldn't find a conservative participating.)

But wait if they burn the stores down how will they get their fresh produce that Michelle wants to spend Billions getting to every corner bodega?

Many of those arrested were "anarchist" agitators who were not from Oakland and wore bandannas, hoods or black face paint, police said. Antigovernment ANARCHIST leftists with "blackface" paint.
And yet the media supresses the racist politics of this situation. And I am not being sarcastic.

I agree with you in principle, but I’m not sure a bunch of inner-city goons using a manslaughter conviction as an excuse to rob Foot Locker can be described as a “riot.”

You need to catch up with the times. Under the Black Muslim Marxist leadership of the Obamessiah, negroes (not a racial slur — I’m using it in the same context as in “United Negro College Fund”) can do no wrong. Which is why they were excluded from Hate Crime legislation, why they are allowed to intimidate white voters at the polls, and why they (along with white trash) no longer have to endure onerous work requirements to get welfare (one of the Obamessiah’s first exec decrees was to remove the Clinton work requirements).
It is also why, after the 2012 elections, a large number of the urban uemployed will become the Obamessiah’s well-armed “National Youth Corps” and turn from dancing in the streets to dancing on our graves.

rau·cous
adj.
1. Rough-sounding and harsh: raucous laughter.
2. Boisterous and disorderly:
Gee, looks like the definition of raucous doesn’t include the breaking of windows in businesses and the looting of same.

Saw clips of people looting a beauty supply store, no doubt a black-owned business.
Oscar Grant died so people could get free hair-care products.

I don't think that "protest" is a more accurate descriptor. Same thing with just mentioning the arrests, though to be fair, perhaps that change was made because the arrests are now the story since the riots have ended.

I wonder, if whether or not these demented maniacs think that Asians and Hispanics will work with them to do this? No one in that group seems to be taking these other minorities into account.
