I thought his district was in the Peoples Republic of Austin.....

Parts of Travis County are conservative, Republican. Forget Austin proper. He has parts of Travis county and additional areas to the west and north. Some years ago he represented that area AND San Angelo PLUS all the way out to Midland. That’s when he represented ME. But because the areas near Austin increased so much in population, lines were redrawn to reflect that, and the San Angelo-to-Midland area was given to another. I don’t live in either of those districts today. My rep today is a conservative Republican, though...Randy Neugebauer.
