My grandmother (mtU5a) was related to 9,000 year old Cheddar Man.

Wouldn't that make you also related to 9,000 year old Cheddar Man?

Yes...sorta.

The U5a is my dad's mother's DNA which I don't have. I have my mother's 'V' mtDNA.
yDNA (male) is passed by father to son and he passes it to his son...he does not pass on his mother's mtDNA...only the females pass on mtDNA (female).

BTW, the 'V' haplogroup is fairly rare (and very old) but 52% of the Skolt Sa'ami have it. I may qualify to have a casino in Finland one day, lol.

"Tundra" is the only Sa'ami word in use worldwide.

Famous ‘V’ haplogroup people you know are Benjamin Franklin and Renee Zellweger.
