Regarding Robert Byrd.
It’s weird how the dems can defend this man.
I lived in roughly the same era, quite a bit younger but I was there.
I would never, never, ever had said or thought some of the really horribly, loathsome things Byrd said about blacks and I think he probably still felt that way until he died.
No one I know, and I’m from Texas, ever talked or thought that way. He was a real piece of work. And they defend him.

Robert is the epitome of what’s wrong with our congressional system. The length of his service (and many others) is obscene and harmful to the country/
