This Bizzaro World situation makes Heston’s role in The Planet of the Apes look normal.

That would end my NRA membership on the spot. I can handle an occasional weird endorsement, but not this one.

I’m looking forward to the next fundraising call from the NRA.

The NRA featured Reid (ugh) in my NRA mag this month.
Let’s just say I was not pleased.

The NRA is a major fund-raising scam, using the “Rifle” portion of its name to hoodwink fools into donating money, while they lobby alternately, in concert with, then sort of against, the communists to keep the scam going.

Harry reid supports anti-gun judges, he supports funding anti-gun organizations and groups and he helps elect anti-gun Democrats all over the country.

So that makes perfect sense for the NRA to endorse him. NOT.

Long pulled my membership years back.....NRA was simply getting infiltrated by the wrong people and becoming too political - in all the wrong directions - for me.

I called the NRA 800# earlier today upon hearing about this.

I was told the NRA had not endorsed Harry Reid in the past, does not currently endorse him, and the guy said he thought the NRA would not be likely to endorse him in the future because Reid has a B rating, and Sharron Angle has an A rating.

I felt better after hearing that...but I will be a NON-NRA member if they do endorse Reid.

Didn’t think of it until after I hung up, but a “B” for Harry Reid? What curve are they grading on?

America’s First Freedom.
It was an article about how Reid (ew) helped get a shooting range approved. I couldn’t bear to read much of the article.

The NRA is a single-issue lobbying group. They are truly non-partisan as far as parties go. It’s all about the Second Amendment.
If the incumbent hasd always been on the side of gun rights, they don’t care what his stand on taxes, abortion or anything else.
The membership lists are not available, but I can tell you from years of involvement, that here where I live more than half the members are democrats.
The NRA is not a conservative PAC. They are solely a pro-gun group and Harry Reid has one thing going for him with NRA: He is pro-gun.

If they are consistent they will. And I hope they DO. Maybe that will FINALLY wake up a few MILLION people to the fact that the NRA ISN’T the champion of the 2nd Amendment and Freedom they believe it is.

SUPPORT Gun Owners of America!

What’s up with the double posting today?

Anywho,,,I am considering leaving the NRA and joining a more conservative gun rights organization. Gun Owners of America perhaps.

From her website Angle's issues:

Sharron Angle supports the individual constitutionally protected right of the people to keep and bear arms for security and defense of self, family, property, as well as for other lawful purposes. Sharron has been endorsed by the Gun Owners of America and has an "A" rating with the National Rifle Association (NRA).<\i>
