Will the GOP in the Senate stand their ground in the face of media stories about starving families and homeless children, all caused by the heartless Republicans? I suspect they won’t.

I would think the unemployment is a drop in the bucket of spending. The Republicans can find something else to cut. This is not good politically. Why give the Dems an issue on a silver platter? I am not debating whether or not the federal government should be paying this. I am simply stating a fact of political life.
