Latest news is the dogs, at the time, tracked Jacob to the second telephone pole down the driveway. I can’t see the poles on google maps and any photo shot up the drive from various videos is distorted so you really can’t tell how many feet into the property it was. I’ve read that his last print was where his toe dug into the gravel so could it be that he was picked up and carried? Can dogs lose the scent if he was carried and not in contact with the ground?

I'm not sure how the dogs could follow a trail... if there is no possible scent on the ground... but I really don't know anything about canine search & rescue, etc., so I could easily be mistaken.

I wish we knew the name of the policeman that the 20-something year old car driver told that he'd seen bikes in a ditch -- since it's a small rural town, isn't it quite possible that he knew the identity of the cop?

See, I am wondering if MAYBE the perp not only had a 'costume' of military camos, but also has a police officer uniform????
