Michelle says, "Don't let them eat that cake!"
I read over at The Oil Drum that the dispersant being used Corexit 9500 was banned in the UK over 10 years ago and Spain has also banned it but unsure of when. It was banned due to both human and animal sicknesses.
LMAO
Anyone who does not insist that Obama produce valid birth records leans to Obama. Anyone who mocks those who insist that the Constitution is meaningful and should be applied in regards the “natural born citizen” clause is PRO-OBAMA.
AJSTRATA can go suck oil with his good buddy Obama.
BP disaster was obama’s 3 A.M. emergency phone call discussed in the campaign. How’s he doing? http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2544468/posts?page=42
Now Obama changes his mind but will not allow the big equipment to be brought here by ship. An article states that the equipment has made it to America(dismantled and being retrofitted on US ships).
Obama also wants the Netherland company to train US peoples how to use the equipment and build the sand berms. The Netherlands company originally said they could do all of the above within THREE WEEKS if THEY were only allowed to do it themselves. So see Obama really cares, he is postponing the stopping of the well as well as the cleanup because he wants to create jobs at the expense of thousands of displaced Americans that SHOULD be making a living off the very waters that he is mucking up for decades with his shenanigans.
LOL... Good job. I wish I had thought of that.
Oil intrusion reaches Long Beach Harbor (MS)
The Long Beach Harbor is surrounded with hundreds of yards of orange, protective boom. But that boom is virtually useless in the strong winds and stirred-up surf. "Five thousand feet wrapped around the harbor. And it either went over the top or underneath, but somehow it made it through it," said White.
"We knew it was coming. It's just sad to see it come. There's nothing you can do. You know, I don't know how you can stop it. But we tried. And we saw what happened," said White.
HARD DAYS ahead for struggling BP in Gulf of Mexico as the hurricane Alex is making it tough for then to continue clean up work. The hurricane Alex pushed more oil to beaches on Wednesday as cleanup vessels were sidelined for safety reasons.
Weather department forecasted 6-foot high waves and 25 mph winds through Thursday just offshore from the Mississippi Delta in Louisianan to Florida Panhandle.
Storm pushed tar ball as big as apples toward Grand Isle and uninhabited Elmer's Island on Louisiana. Pouring rain and lightning disrupted the cleanup work, boom lining the beach had been tossed about.
Hurricane Alex left Alabama beaches sprayed with oil and tar balls Wednesday, even with Alex more than 500 miles away as it approached the Texas-Mexico coast.
Tar balls the size of dinner plates filled a large swath of beach east of Pensacola after. Wind and rain kept crews from cleaning the crude.
Sorry, but simply NOT TRUE. Look up the proven science studies on the recovery of other oil spills, especially the Ixtoc spill. The ecology will recover in 3-5 years. The Ixtoc spill put out more oil, for a longer time, and affected much more shoreline area. A study done by the Texas "Bureau of Land Management" found NO identifiable damage to the ecology after three years.
PDF file is here.....

From Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ixtoc_I_oil_spill
"Despite over 3.3 million barrels of oil ending up in the environment after the cleanup, the beach fauna or beach populations were back to where they were before the spill within two to three years. [11] After 6 years, it was difficult to find any evidence of oil.[12] Today, after more than 30 years, there is little sign of the oil spill.[13]"
Similar studies exist for the Exxon-Valdez spill, and for the FAR larger Persian Gulf (Gulf War I) release, with similar results. The recover time for the EV and PG spills were slightly longer than for Ixtoc, because of the colder climate for the EV, and the far larger size of the PG, but in general, the ecology recovers FAR more quickly than is spoken of in the popular media.
Zero isn’t ready for his closeup, Mister DeMille.
Never has been.
Never will be.
Thanks Ernest_at_the_Beach!
Update: Reader Tarpon has some excellent observations regarding EPA rules to oil spills, which someone should have been reading in the White House months ago:
Oh, yikes. Please read this article.
[Thanks, Ernest_at_the_Beach.]
WRONG. Rules are for the little people /s
PS. Besides...they are too busy working on immigration
Wait a minute!
I distinctly heard Diane Sawyer last night claim BP was a heavy Repub contributor. /s
Check out that collection cap moving from the hurricane driven waves at the surface. Looks like it might even be bumping into the BOP.
We need to get rid of him and every last one of his running dogs. They consitute the gravest internal threat to America that it has ever known, or so far in this case 'unknown' as yet, but for a few.
The GOP keeps acting like Barry Soetoro is any typical politician. He is not, He is a treasonous fascist whose government needs to be terminated, with prejudice if necessary.
It could appear the author is a bit angry with the socialist commie muslim.
Do they designate which dispersant was from NALCO?
